Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant required for a SEN School in Bodmin

ASC support 

Supporting behaviour and communication within Key Stage 1 Phonics and behaviour support experience ideally

Due to the ever changing needs of this school, Teaching Personnel are working closely with a large SEN School with state of the art facilities in the Bodmin area. This SEN school are looking to recruit a 1:1 ASC support worker to work with a number of children on a 1:1 and small group basis in Key Stage 1. This role requires someone who has experience of working with children with ASC, whether it’s on the verbal or non verbal spectrum. A school looking to become a good and outstanding school in the future, this is a great place to work, with a friendly environment and a hard-working ethic. This is a great opportunity and one which could lead to a school’s permanent contract. You would be working closely with the school SENCO to help aid learning in school as much as possible.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working with Autism.
  • Children or young adults with Autism.
  • Youth work or Social Work Graduates.
  • Sports Coaches or Care Workers 
  • Patience and calmness in stressful situations.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
