Teaching Assistant (Year 6)

Location: Primary School, Altrincham
Salary: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour
Contract: Full Time
Start Date: ASAP

Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and helping them achieve their best? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Year 6 team in a welcoming primary school in Altrincham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference as pupils prepare for their transition to secondary school. Our school is proud of its inclusive ethos, supportive staff, and strong community links.

Your role will include:

• Working closely with the Year 6 teacher to support learning across the curriculum
• Assisting with the preparation and delivery of engaging lessons
• Providing targeted support to individuals and small groups, especially in English and Maths
• Supporting pupils’ emotional and social development, fostering a positive classroom environment
• Contributing to assessment and monitoring pupil progress
• Ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with Key Stage 2 children, ideally Year 6
• Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is enthusiastic, adaptable, and a great team player
• Understands the importance of high expectations and helping children reach their potential
• Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
