Do you have a passion for helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally? We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the NP13 area. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils at a key stage in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Year 2 pupils across the full curriculum.

• Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and numeracy, either 1:1 or in small groups.

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, organisation, and resources.

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued.

• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, structured learning space.

• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN specialists to support pupils with additional needs.

What We’re Looking For:

• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Confidence in managing behaviour in line with school policies.

• Previous primary school experience (desirable but not essential).

• An enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
