Teaching Assistant - Huddersfield

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for staff to work at a school in Brighouse. The school caters to students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs or specific learning difficulties such as Autism or ADHD. The children are aged 4-16 years old and are all male.

The right candidate will be comfortable supporting students who can display challenging behaviours in a 1:1 and group setting. You must have experience working in a similar setting, education or with vulnerable people and the Team Teach qualification or equivalent is ideal.

These students are particularly vulnerable, may come from disadvantaged backgrounds and have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. We are looking for someone who is open minded and non-judgemental towards the backgrounds of these students, who is wiling to offer extra and tailored support to their learning and is dedicated to providing these students with a second chance.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
