About the Role

  • Assisting with personal care, communication aids, and physical or sensory needs where required
  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and SEN professionals to implement individual learning plans
  • Helping create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment tailored to each child’s needs
  • Promoting emotional well-being, social development, and independence
  • Managing and responding calmly to challenging behaviours with appropriate strategies

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

Why Choose a Temporary-to-Permanent Contract?

  • Trial Period: Experience the role and the school environment before committing long-term
  • Supportive Transition: Receive guidance and feedback during the initial phase, leading to a smooth shift into a permanent role
  • Career Progression: Gain valuable SEN experience and professional development opportunities
  • Job Security: A clear path to stable, long-term employment in a nurturing and well-resourced setting
