Teaching Assistant – Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Location: Cornwall area
Contract Type: Permanent, 32.75 hours per week (term time only)
Salary: £24,926 FTE / Approx. £19,232 Actual
Start Date: As soon as possible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Teaching Assistants to join a specialist education setting in the St Austell area that caters to pupils aged 2–19 with complex learning and communication needs, including autism and behavioural challenges.
This is a rolling vacancy, meaning applications are welcomed throughout the year. Candidates will be contacted as and when positions become available.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the educational and physical needs of pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. You will play a vital role in creating a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment that encourages learning, development, and wellbeing.

- Passionate about supporting pupils with diverse and complex needs
- Caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated to making a positive impact
- Flexible and proactive with strong teamwork and communication skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Experienced (or willing to learn) in supporting pupils with ASD and behavioural needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
