Graduate Teaching Assistant role

Behaviour Support

Central Bristol

An opportunity for a successful graduate to gain valuable experience within a behaviour unit, in a school in central Bristol.

The Role

A full time role where the pay rate allows graduates to gain a good salary of £60- £70 per day. The Teaching Assistant will be able to use this valuable placement to apply for future PGCE placements, as this will give you the opportunity to gain a valuable reference.

The role consists of you working with pupils with challenging behaviour in the school, sometimes working 1:1 with the pupil to ensure they stay on task and have the opportunity to improve their behaviour.

The school accommodates for pupils who are struggling to cope with mainstream education. Pupils may have Social Emotional Behavioural Difficulties and may also have a statement of Special Educational Needs.

The ideal candidate for this role will:

Have experience in regards to working with young people

Have a credible Degree

Will want to pursue a career in some form of education

Teaching Personnel have a really good relationship with the school and can offer the successful candidate the opportunity to enhance their employability. To enhance chances we encourage candidates to use our CPD academy. This provides the opportunity to go on relevant education courses like Team Teach at discounted prices! School really value extra qualifications and it looks really good for future employability.

Candidates must have a child work force DBS, and if they don't they can apply for one online! The sooner you have one, the sooner you can become accepted for work!
