✅ Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils aged 11–16 across a range of subjects and learning levels. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to help students reach their full potential in both mainstream classrooms and the on-site ALN centre.

Key Responsibilities

Mainstream:

• Supporting learners during lessons and small‑group activities
• Assisting with behaviour support and classroom management
• Helping pupils who require additional guidance or differentiated learning
• Preparing learning resources and supporting lesson delivery

ALN Provision:

• Providing tailored 1:1 or small‑group support
• Assisting pupils with additional learning, emotional or behavioural needs
• Collaborating with SENCOs and external professionals
• Promoting independence, confidence and emotional wellbeing

✅ Pay & Availability

• £14.30 per hour (PAYE)
• Full‑time & part‑time roles available depending on your schedule

To be successful, you ideally will have:

• Experience working with children or young people (school, coaching, childcare or youth work)
• Qualifications in education, childcare or related fields (desirable)
• Ability to drive (highly beneficial due to location)
• Welsh language skills (desirable + valued by the school)
• A positive attitude, patience and strong communication skills
• A genuine passion for supporting inclusive education
