Teaching Personnel are working with a comprehensive specMainstreamschool with high volumes of SEN pupils based in Southampton to recruit Teaching Assistants on a permeant basis for September 2019. The school are looking for appoint additional members of staff to grow their support department across the key stages.

The SEN School is an 'Outstanding' (Ofsted January 2018) multi-campus, day special school for children aged 3 - 19. "We welcome pupils from a wide geographical area and support a comprehensive range of special educational needs including moderate (MLD), severe (SLD) and profound (PMLD) and complex learning difficulties (CLDD) as well as pupils on the Autism spectrum." - Head Teacher

Due to the special educational needs of the children and young people this role can be challenging and physically demanding, however the work is also very rewarding. Resilience is a key personal quality for the role as is the ability to communicate effectively using a range of tools.

The School have various roles available from part time to full time hours across the schools teaching times between 9:15 - 3:30. The school are ideally looking for candidates to apply with experience in Speech, language and Communication need (SLCN including pupils with Autism and Specific learning difficulties (SpLD) primarily skills within Dyslexia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia.
