KS1 Support Assistant

A mainstream primary school in South Liverpool, are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team of support staff to work KS1 pupils in a catch up support role. This is an exciting opportunity for any experienced TA to work in a forward-thinking, modern Primary School. With support from the class teachers you will be expected to work on a full-time basis, five days a week, in order to build a good solid working relationship with the KS1 pupils. The school has plenty to offer; with the initial support from the Senior Leadership Team; additional training through staff meetings and CPD; support and training through the Local Authority and other services. The working hours are 8:30-15:30.

You will be required to work with pupils on a 1-1 and group basis to deliver catch up support learning.

The school have specified that the successful candidate will be one who has the following qualifications, attributes and experiences;

• Level 2 or above Teaching and Learning in Schools – OR an equivalent qualification or degree.
• Experience working with the Autism Spectrum and Behaviour.
• Prior experience supporting children with specific learning needs on a 1:1 basis.
• A practitioner who has the drive and determination to make a difference every day.
• A practitioner who is committed to the longevity of the role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
