Teachers with experience of challenging behaviour needed

I am seeking enthusiastic Teachers for a provision in Houghton Regis that caters for boys who have been permanently excluded from school. The school requires the Teacher to be readily available to be booked advanced daily or last minute emergency cover.

The school places a strong emphasis on the individual, all of their pupils have a unique set of circumstances and requirements. Every pupil will have an area of strength - the staff work hard to identify that strength and then build upon it, which in turn improves self-esteem and confidence.

A strong aspect of this setting is the pastoral care. Many of their pupils have difficulties in their lives and can be very sensitive about their circumstances. The staff deal with these situations professionally and compassionately and try to ensure that there is a positive outcome at all times.

Your roles and responsibilities:

• One to One Support and classroom support
• Supporting Students with a variety of Social & Emotional needs
• Assist Class Teacher with Behaviour Management
• Working with Children aged 11 - 17 Years old

Requirements:

• A positive and nurturing attitude
• Experience of Teaching
• Experience within a SEN environment or with children with challenging behaviour
• Available either Full or Part Time to start ASAP

Desirable:

• QTS
