I'm currently working in partnership with a school in Maidenhead who have asked Teaching Personnel to assist in their search for two Primary Teachers and one Secondary Teacher to start in the new academic year - September 2019!

You will be the Class Teacher for 8-10 pupils with Autism. Each class will have a HLTA and 5-6 Teaching Assistants on hand to work 121 with pupils. Teaching Assistants will deliver 121 intervention programmes specific to each pupils needs. They will also take a lead on behaviour management. This will allow you as a teacher to focus your time on teaching and getting the most out of the pupils.

The school are looking for teachers who have either worked within a SEN or Mainstream School and has some experience teaching Autism. The school will offer in depth training on the intervention programmes and behaviour management techniques to teachers if required. Teachers need to hold a UK QTS, be resilient, patient and have a genuine passion to support those with Autism.

The Head Teacher is more than happy to meet with Teachers immediately to discuss the role and show you around the school before you proceed to the interview stage.

This will allow you the opportunity to see the school first hand and find out from the Head Teacher more about the role. You can then decide if this meets your career aspirations.
