THE JOURNEY
PAID CLASSROOM EXPERIENCE September 2026 – August 2027
Your first year places you at the heart of school life as a salaried Cover Supervisor. While earning £23,000 - £27,000, you'll receive intensive training and dedicated support that builds the foundations of an outstanding teaching career.
During this year you will:
- Work daily alongside students and experienced teaching staff
- Attend weekly training covering classroom management, lesson planning, assessment, and safeguarding
- Receive one-to-one coaching from your dedicated mentor
- Observe outstanding practitioners across different subjects
- Take on increasing teaching responsibilities as your confidence grows
FORMAL TEACHER TRAINING September 2027 – July 2028
Your second year transitions into formal teacher training. With salary support continuing, you'll complete all requirements for Qualified Teacher Status
By completion you will have:
- Achieved full Qualified Teacher Status
- Maintained financial stability throughout training
- Secured a permanent position within our school or trust
- Built a strong platform for long-term career development

English Language GCSE | Grade C/4 or above Mathematics GCSE | Grade C/4 or above Bachelor's degree from UK university or equivalent
