Teacher required for Year 2 class in small Roman Catholic Primary School in North Manchester M9 from February
Fixed term contract for the full academic year
School based contract from the outset
NQT's encouraged to apply
Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a small Roman Catholic school in North Manchester to find a Year 2 teacher for permanent position starting in February through till the end of the academic year. This position will be to cover a maternity leave so that is the reason for the fixed term contract. The school is only one form entry and has a real community feel to it working hard to integrate pupils and parents from all walks of life together in different fund raising events throughout the academic year which really adds to the atmosphere around the school. The Head of the school is a really popular figure with Pupils and parents alike and is really hands on around school leading from the front when it comes to enthusiasm, passion and just an all round love for the school.
The successful candidate will be expected to show the same enthusiasm and passion for teaching as the rest of the staffing team with a smooth integration in to the school expected. The school are open to NQT's applying as they feel the love for teaching will still be there. The class is of average size and is said to be really well behaved with one teaching assistant in the class supporting a pupil on the autistic spectrum. Ideally the school would like a practising catholic to join their team but non catholic teachers are still encouraged to apply for the role. As the school is one form entry planning must be a strength of the successful candidate and time management also needed as a strength.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
