Are you a Science Teacher in the Blackburn area?
Are you keen to secure work from Easter 2018?
Teaching Personnel are working exclusively with a school in the Blackburn Area to recruit a Science teacher from after the Easter break. The school are looking to recruit a Teacher starting in April 2018. The positions are both covering a maternity leave and it is currently expected that the role will run until December 2018. The school is rapidly becoming more popular and so due to expansion there is a possibility that successful candidates would be interviewed for a permanent position once the maternity comes to an end.
The school is an average sized secondary school with approximately 900 pupils on roll. In their most recent Ofsted inspection the school received a grading of "Good" with highlights including the schools behaviour policies and the pupils' attitudes for Learning. The school are confident that in their next inspection they will be able to claim an "Outstanding" judgement.
A suitable candidate should be experienced delivering on the Science specifications to KS3/4. The department is currently following the AQA specifications and so experience with this exam board would be beneficial. The school has high expectations for behaviour and they will be keen to secure a candidate who shares their vision for pupil progress. Both NQT and experienced Teachers will be considered.
Teachers considering this role should:
- Be a qualified Science Teacher
- Have experience delivering Science to KS3/4
- Have a track record of achieving a high standard of results
- Be available for work from April 2018 until the end of the academic year
If you are looking for an exciting new role then do not hesitate to make your application by sending your CV and contact details. The school would like to meet with candidates as soon as possible. Applications should be made by Friday 9th February.
If you would like further information about the available role then do not hesitate to get in touch with Rob at Teaching Personnel ASAP with your CV and contact details.
