Job description

Position: Science Teacher

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire

Are you a Teacher of Science looking for your next job role and have a passion for making a significant impact on students' lives?

Teaching Personnel are seeking an exceptional Science Teacher to join our client’s school’s dynamic faculty to the help foster a love for learning in the field of science within the students. The role will be starting from ASAP on a full-time basis up until December 2024, for maternity cover.  The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching all science specialisms, with an ability to explain tricky concepts clearly, and with ease, ensuring students remain inquisitive about the world around them and motivated to investigate further.

About the role

The role will require you to teach interesting and informative lessons planned by yourself to students of all ages and levels across Key stages 3, and 4 to help instil a deep understanding of scientific principles through a variety of learning strategies. You will also be marking class work, providing constructive feedback to the students, and help preparing them for exams.

The school in mind are best centrally to Hemel Hempstead so is very easy to travel to whatever your mode of transport and are ideally wanting a teacher who has a nurturing nature balanced with great classroom management to encourage both of these aspects across their lessons.

Requirements

  • A teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Specialism or Qualifications in the core Science subjects
  • Good Understanding of the secondary Science curriculum
  • A child only enhanced DBS
  • Overseas Police clearance (If applicable)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
