Position: Science Teacher

Role and Responsibilities: As a Science Teacher at our school, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional science education to students ranging from Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 4 (KS3 to KS4). Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Planning and delivering engaging and challenging science lessons that cater to various learning styles and abilities.

  2. Utilizing modern teaching methods and technologies to bring science to life, making it relevant and exciting for students.

  3. Assessing and tracking student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting your teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

  4. Creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages active participation and fosters a love for science.

  5. Collaborating with fellow educators to contribute to the development of the science curriculum and extracurricular activities.

  6. Participating in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events as required.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

  1. A degree in a science-related field or a relevant teaching qualification.

  2. Experience teaching science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS3 and KS4) or equivalent.

  3. An unwavering passion for science education and the ability to inspire students.

  4. Profound subject knowledge and the capacity to convey complex scientific concepts effectively.

  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  6. Dedication to nurturing both the academic and personal development of students.

  7. A commitment to contributing to the school's overall mission and values.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
