Due to a gap in department we are currently seeking a PE teacher to join the school with immediate effect. This is a full time position until the end of the academic year and would involve teaching PE to both KS3 and GCSE level as well as including full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking.

  • FULL TIME POSITION TEACHING PETO GCSE AND KS3 LEVEL
  • PAID IN LINE WITH TEACHING SCALE POINT (UPS/MPS) £22,917-£38,633
  • WORKING AT A LARGE MODERN SECONDARY SCHOOL IN BARNSLEY

Our client school is a large modern Secondary School located in Barnsley. There has recently been a massive multimillion pound refurbishment within the school, which is reflected in the improvements made in the school. With state of the art facilities and a strong supportive PE department this is a perfect opportunity for any PENQT seeking an introduction to their first position, or a more experienced PE teacher seeking a new challenge for the academic year.

"Due to a gap in our PE department we urgently require a PE NQT or PE Teacher to join our school with immediate effect. They will be required to teach PE to KS3 and GCSE level and will involve full department responsibilities including planning and marking. We require a passionate teacher who is dedicated to delivering interactive lessons and raising attainment through engaging and inspiring learning." - Head of Spanish

Duties Include:

  • Planning and delivering lesson plans for mixed ability groups with the aim of raising attainment throughout the department
  • Evaluating performance of pupils and putting in place plans for their development
  • Full departmental responsibilities of planning and marking
  • Collaborate with pupils, parents and other staff in the department to maximise all pupils potential
