Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages for a Secondary school in Northamptonshire!


Job Title: Teacher of MFL (French and German)
Location: Daventry, Northamptonshire
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (£31,650 - £49,084)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: 01 September 2025

Are you a passionate and motivated Modern Foreign Languages teacher with the ability to teach both French and German? Teaching Personnel is working with a dynamic secondary school in the Daventry area seeking to appoint an enthusiastic MFL teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in French and German to students of all abilities.
  • Set high expectations to ensure all learners reach their academic potential.
  • Use a variety of assessment methods to track and support student progress.
  • Plan and implement well-structured lessons that reflect curriculum standards and individual needs.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports the development of the whole child.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in a relevant subject.
  • Ability to teach ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ lessons in French and German.
  • A track record of improving student outcomes and fostering a love of languages.
  • A reflective practitioner who is passionate about continuous improvement and student success.
