Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a Head of Spanish for a Secondary school in Northamptonshire!


Are you passionate about the Spanish language and culture? Do you have the vision and drive to lead a thriving Modern Foreign Languages department?

We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational Head of Spanish to empower students and foster a love for language learning.

Start Date: September 2025 or January 2026


About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to lead the development and delivery of an engaging, high-quality Spanish curriculum. You will play a key role in shaping the department’s future, inspiring students, and ensuring outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Spanish department, promoting academic excellence
  • Inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching strategies
  • Design a modern, culturally rich curriculum that enhances language skills and appreciation
  • Mentor and support departmental staff to encourage professional growth
  • Foster a passion for languages and cultivate international perspectives among students

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced educator who:

  • Has a strong background teaching Spanish at KS3, KS4, and KS5
  • Possesses leadership experience or demonstrates ambition to take on a leadership role
  • Is passionate about languages and cultural education
  • Has the ability to engage and inspire students to become confident and enthusiastic linguists

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
