A large Secondary school located in the Worsley region of Salford is seeking a full time Teacher of Maths from January 2020 or earlier due to a member of permanent staff set to take maternity leave.

The Headteacher and Head of Mathematics wishes to appoint a dynamic Teacher of Maths to join their highly successful department who can continue to promote outstanding teaching and learning. -          Full time Teacher of Maths, required from January 2020 or earlier.

-          12 month fixed term maternity leave.

-          Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Maths/equivalent.

-          Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified teachers of Maths.

-          Opportunity to work within a progressive mixed comprehensive Secondary school, easily accessible via the M60/A580.

-          Pay in line with MPS/UPS GBP24, 373 - GBP40, 490.

 “Due to a permanent member of staff set to take maternity leave, we are looking to appoint a passionate practitioner form October 2019. The incoming Teacher of Maths will receive full support from our close knit team of staff and experienced senior leadership team.  Applications from both experienced and newly qualified teachers are welcome, with full induction support available to NQT’s”.

 

Established in the early 2000’s, the school has continued to act as a beacon within the local community serving pupils across Salford. Currently the school serves just over 1000 pupils aged 11- 16. The school has seen a complete refurbishment with access to state of the art resources within modern facilities. The responsibilities for the incoming Teacher of Maths;

  • Promote the school’s vision, aims, objectives and values.
  • Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
  • Effectively teach the National curriculum within the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Develop schemes of work, resources, teaching and learning strategies, contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of all pupils.
  • Plan, Prepare and Assess Class work, in accordance with Senior Leadership Teams.

Salford is easily accessible via the M60/A580 (East Lancashire Road) and the surrounding areas; Bolton. Wigan and Trafford. There are also numerous public transport options readily available  with links across Greater Manchester.
