Teacher of Maths for Easter or September 2019

The school, based in the navel town Gosport, an area of Hampshire is looking for an ambitious Teacher (QTS) of Mathematics to join them from Easter or September 2019. The school need an experienced practitioner who is passionate about teaching and learning who can drive the department forward. The school are looking to improve their already ambitious provision for Maths for their students which is why for the right candidate, leadership opportunities could be available. The school welcomes applications from MPS and UPS teachers.

The school offers Mathematics at GCSE and A Level with examination results being above the national average. The Maths department has an excellent reputation amongst the school community with many of their students going on to study at Oxford and Cambridge Universities of which they are proud of. The department offers a range of extra curricular activities to encourage their students to love the subject and strive to do well. Colleagues in the department regularly share best practices and resources making them a very supportive team to join.

The ideal candidate:

  • Have UK QTS
  • Be a good communicator and able to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Be able to demonstrate that you can effectively overcome barriers to learning
  • Be able to teach in such a way that promotes a love for the subject and engagement
  • Be ambitious to progress in your career
