TEACHER needed for PRU near Eltham to teach ENGLISH

Full time teaching position available for Fully Qualified Teacher in school near Eltham!

This position is for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) for secondary aged students and requires a teacher who can teach the new English GCSE curriculum using the AQA syllabus at either Key Stage 3 or Key Stage 4.

The class you will be teaching will consist of no more than 8 pupils, and you will be supported by two Teaching Assistants also in the room. You must have experience of teaching GCSE English, and although previous experience of working in a PRU is not essential, it is desirable and you must be confident to deal with very challenging behaviour at times from the pupils.

Ofsted most recently inspected this school in 2016 and stated that 'Highly effective teaching over time in English has led to increasing numbers of pupils, including those who are disadvantaged and the most able pupils, making accelerated progress and achieving standards that are in line with or above those achieved by their peers in all other schools.' The school was assessed to be a Good school overall.
