Teaching Personnel are currently looking for Teachers from mainstream backgrounds looking for a change of direction in their career. Have you ever considered working within a Special needs setting? As a Teacher, do you plan lessons to your students learning levels? Do you provide emotional support as well as academic? Have you taught a class in which you have has a student with learning difficulties? Have you managed students with challenging behaviour? The answer to all these questions will be yes! And an SEN setting is no different!

In a specialist setting you will have small class sizes allowing you to focus your attention on each individual student and support from LSA’s who tend to work 1:1 with each student in the class allowing you to make a real difference.

In an SEN school you will not only be supported by the senior leadership team but also specialist within the school such as therapy, nursing and multi-sensory teams.

Patience and understanding, are the essential traits, every SEN teacher needs to have to thrive at their work. You will also need to be an excellent communicator, an organised and creative team player to meet the responsibility of the job.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
