Are you a passionate, enthusiastic and energetic classroom practitioner, who is dedicated to making a difference to children’s learning?

We are seeking to appoint a teacher from January for one of our Special Needs Schools.

As a teacher you will:

• Take responsibility for teaching a class and have high expectations of pupils in order to build successful relationships.
• Set challenging teaching and learning objectives; planning lessons and sequences of lessons to ensure good progress for all children.
• Make appropriate use of the school's monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress towards planned learning objectives.

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.  The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to engage pupils in learning and to meet their needs in lessons.  Strong behaviour management skills will be essential.  Some of the children have social, emotional and mental health needs and a nurturing approach and high levels of empathy are essential.  Candidates will need to have excellent behaviour management skills and some knowledge of the issues around attachment difficulties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
