Teacher Job- Year 2 Class- Primary School in Bamber Bridge

Would you like to know about our newest role in a Year 2 class in a Bamber Bridge school?

A post that will secure work for you from November until July next year?

A position where you can really take responsibility of a class and put your own stamp on it?

I may just have the ideal school and role for you!

What will be needed to be successful in shortlisting?

In order to be considered for shortlisting you MUST:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have recent and relevant school-based experience, specifically in a Year 2 class (KS1)
  • Be able to build strong working relationships with the children and staff around school
  • Be flexible with your working hours as this role will be full-time from November and may include attending CPD and INSETs
  • Possess strong behaviour management skills
  • Strong knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum and have experience with Phonics schemes such as Letters and Sounds and Jolly Phonics
  • Be able to uphold the Christian ethos in school. *To clarify, you do not have to hold a faith reference to apply for this role

Do you tick all the boxes above? Then continue reading…

The school…

The school has been consistently graded 'GOOD' by Ofsted; a strength highlighted in the most recent inspection was the way in which the good standard of teaching has been maintained. The children who attend school tend to arrive from more affluent areas of living. Accordingly, very few pupils are known to be eligible for the pupil premium funding. The school is smaller than average with a number of mixed year groups.

The role…

A temporary supply contract will be offered from the first week of Autumn Term 2 and is expected to last until the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. You will be expected to work as part of the small KS1 team, planning and delivering high quality lesson content aimed specifically at 25 children. You will also be expected to undertake full summative and formative assessment points in the period to ensure you are able to plan for next steps in learning and to ensure the pupils are prepared for the end of key stage assessment. You will need to be confident in the planning and delivery of differentiated Phonics sessions on a daily basis. The school currently use Letters and Sounds and some Jolly Phonics as a scheme for Phonics development.

How to apply…

Applying is simple! The vetting process is quick with Teaching Personnel, providing you are able to offer recent and relevant reference details and have a DBS on the Update Service. If you have experience in KS1 and you are looking for guaranteed work from November then do not hesitate to give our office a call.
