Teaching assistant with SEN or SEMH experience needed for Roman Catholic primary school based in the Salford (M6) area.

Are you a Teaching Assistant with experience working with Key Stage 1 and Key stage 2 children with SEN and SEMH issues?

Do you want to work in a mainstream primary school helping children access the national curriculum?

Do you have considerable experience working with children with special educational needs?

A 'Good' primary school situated in the Salford (M6) area is currently seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant starting in September 2018. The primary school is smaller than average and is looking for a TA who is able to promote a strong Roman Catholic ethos and can fit into their warm and inclusive school family.

The Idea candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEN and SEMH issues.
  • Previously worked with KS1 and 2 classes.
  • Experience leading small groups and 1:1 interventions.
  • A confident and outgoing personality with commitment to working for the full year.

Roman Catholic teaching assistants are encouraged to apply for this role however it is not essential as long as you are able promote a strong Roman Catholic ethos. The school also promotes a healthy and fun approach to life through extra curricular activities and candidates will be encouraged to embrace this 'whole life' approach.

This role starts on the 3rd September 2018 lasting the full academic year.
