Teaching Assistant required for specialist SEN School in Harrogate
- Experience of supporting pupils on a 1:1 or group basis
- Evidence of de-escalating challenging behaviour
- Competitive pay rates of up to £75 per day
An Outstanding School in Harrogate are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker. The school provides alternative education for pupils aged 2-19, all of whom have an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to meet their needs.
Located just a 20 minute drive from Leeds City Centre, the school also has excellent transport links from the surrounding areas of Leeds and York.
Your role will be to provide targeted intervention for pupils within the secondary base (KS3 & KS4) who may display aggression and exhibit challenging behaviour. These behaviour needs are secondary to the pupils SEN diagnoses of Autism and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), so an understanding of the underlying issues is paramount. You will be calm and resilient and may also possess a valid Team Teach certificate or equivalent BILD accredited training.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
