Support Worker (PMLD)

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for candidates who have a background in support work and social care to support young people with profound and multiple complex needs within the school environment.

The school supports secondary age students in the Rochdale area and provides a safe and secure environment for their ongoing learning and development.

Throught the school day the students need consistent 1:1 support in all areas such as communication, engagement, activity inclusion, moving and handling, feeding and toileting. 

Qualification or training in the following would be ideal for a smooth start in this role;

  • Team Teach / MAPA
  • BSL / PECS / Makaton
  • Moving and Handling
  • PEG feeding
  • Buccal Midazolam or Epilepsy Awareness

The role is available ASAP on a temporary open contract with opportunity for extension or permanancy. Hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.30pm.

You must have a child workforce DBS which is registered to the update service; Teaching Personnel are happy to support your application for this!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
