We are recruiting for a Support Worker to work on a one to basis with a child in a Primary school for those with SEN. The school’s population has ages 2 -111 years old with each child having a Educational Healthcare Plan and have associated needs such as Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Complex needs.

Your role as a Support Worker would be to work one on one with a pupil within the school. You will assist the pupils in all aspects of their day, from their time spent in the classroom, their break and lunch times, feeding and social interaction You as the Support Worker will be instrumental in providing a quality care to this young person to aid their progression within the school and beyond.

The facilities that will made available to include musical instruments for sessions, a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor play equipment for play centred learning and the support of a wide team of professionals who are there not only to support the young people progress but also to support you in your new role.

The support worker who is will be successful will have

• Experience of a care or SEN environment
• A positive and engaging personality
• A love for supporting young people

In addition, you will need to complete all necessary vetting checks including proof of identity, a DBS on the Update Service and producing two recent references.
