Support Worker required for children with special needs in Lymington

The environment provides everyone in their care a home to feel safe in and a chance to develop their lives with optimism and enthusiasm. By providing a complete continuity of care through positive therapeutic and behavioural approaches, this SEN school provides extensive support for children and young adults to achieve their personal best.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a strong, supporting team of assisting the care and development of students. The provision has a proud and successful tradition of supporting students between the ages of 7 - 19 with Aspergers and SEMH (social,emotional and mental health needs) to gain valuable life skills, qualifications and confidence to support their onward journey towards independence. The dedicated team recognise this success and want to offer this opportunity to a wider range of young people and adults as part the ongoing developments that are taking place across all areas of the provision.

We are looking for Support Workers that are:

  • Passionate about improving the lives of others;
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in supporting those with special needs/challenging behaviours/mental health difficulties;
  • Resilient
  • Caring/nurturing individuals;
  • A positive and consistent role model to others;
  • Innovative, engaging enthusiastic and inspirational;
  • A creative thinker and implementer;
  • Flexible in working shift patterns on a rota basis including days, evenings and weekends; (days only)
  • An excellent communicator and team player;
  • Seeking career development and training;
  • Comfortable with personal care
