Teaching Assistants Needed – SEN Support | Bury Area | Full-Time & Part-Time
Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant with a background in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Are you looking for flexibility, variety, and the opportunity to make a real difference in children’s lives? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
We are a well-established supply agency working closely with a wide range of primary schools across the Bury area. Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit multiple qualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 – with a strong focus on SEN provision.
What we’re looking for:
- A recognised TA qualification (e.g. Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning)
- Proven experience working in a primary school setting
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient attitude – especially when working with children who require additional support
- A flexible and proactive approach to working in different school environments
- Availability for either full-time or part-time work
Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant providing SEN support, your role may include:
- Working 1:1 with pupils with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and learning delays
- Supporting small groups under the direction of the class teacher or SENCO
- Adapting resources and learning activities to suit individual needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being
- Assisting with personal care and mobility needs (where required)
- Liaising with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure consistent care and support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
