Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant – Flexible Primary School Cover (Burnley)
Location: Burnley and surrounding areas
Hours: Flexible – Day-to-day, short-term (a few weeks), or half-term placements
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Supply Teaching Assistant to join our pool of trusted staff supporting primary schools across Burnley. This is the perfect role for someone who thrives in the classroom but wants the flexibility to fit work around other commitments.
You’ll be stepping into different schools to provide classroom support on a day-to-day, short-term, or half-term basis. Each placement is an opportunity to bring your skills, adaptability, and positive energy to help children learn and grow.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
-
Working 1:1 or with small groups of pupils, including those with additional needs

Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
-
Assisting with classroom preparation, resources, and general organisation

Adapting quickly to different school settings and routines
What We’re Looking For
-
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (primary setting preferred)
-
A flexible, proactive approach and the ability to hit the ground running
-
Strong communication skills with both children and staff
-
Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting learning

An up-to-date DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
