Part time and Full time Secondary School Supply Teacher

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a Supply Teacher to work across Secondary Schools in Newport, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent and Monmouthshire.

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: GBP138 a day

Payment Method: PAYE (Pay As You Earn) and no umbrella fees!


About the role of a Supply Teacher:

You will be working in Secondary schools for regular supply bookings to cover when the school has an absent teacher. Since the start of the new academic year, we have seen an increase in demand for supply teachers, meaning we will be able to keep you as busy as you are looking to be.

Supply Teacher placements range from 1 day to 1 month and we will be able to tailor the work to suit your requirements and preferences.   With Covid, our schools are looking to book Supply Teachers in block bookings to ensure continuity for their school which means more regular work for you!

Supply Teaching offers a great work life balance as there is no planning or marking involved.  You get to teach your subject you love, with no added responsibilities!

As well as teaching your own subject there will be an element of general cover as well - all lessons are pre planned for you, your job will be to deliver the lesson and ensure students stay on track.

Requirements:

  • You will need an enhanced DBS on the update service
  • You must be able to provide 2 references
  • You must hold QTS or have at least 6 months previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor.
