Flexible Supply Teacher Roles – Southampton
Contract Type: Part-time & Full-time
Start Date: January 2026
Are you a proactive, adaptable and enthusiastic teacher seeking flexible work in the Southampton area? We’re looking for committed Supply Teachers to support a range of welcoming primary schools, ensuring pupils experience engaging, high-quality learning in the absence of their class teacher.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Recent experience teaching in primary settings
- A positive, calm and flexible approach to daily teaching
- Strong behaviour management and the ability to build quick, effective relationships with pupils
- Reliability, professionalism and a genuine passion for education
- Confidence delivering pre-planned lessons across various year groups
Your Responsibilities
- Delivering prepared lessons and keeping pupils engaged
- Maintaining continuity of learning during staff absences
- Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Adapting smoothly to different school settings and routines
- Supporting pupils’ progress, wellbeing and enjoyment throughout the day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
