Supply Teachers Needed in Reading 

Location: Reading and surrounding Berkshire areas
Employer: Teaching Personnel
Salary: £130 – £180 per day (dependent on experience and role)
Start date: Ongoing – immediate and future opportunities available

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic Supply Teachers to join our team and work across a range of primary in Reading.

Whether you’re an experienced classroom practitioner or a newly qualified teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable experience, we have a variety of day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements to suit you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across KS1–KS5 using pre-prepared plans or your own resources

  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment

  • Adapt to different schools and teaching styles with confidence and professionalism

  • Support pupils’ learning and wellbeing in line with school policies

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills

  • A flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude

  • A valid enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
