Supply Teacher

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic, adaptable educators to provide flexible supply cover across a range of secondary schools in and around Portsmouth. We welcome applications from both qualified teachers (QTS) and unqualified teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience.

We work in partnership with a number of well-regarded, co-educational secondary schools in the local area, many of which have been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted. These schools offer supportive and inclusive environments where students are encouraged to achieve their full academic and personal potential. They deliver broad, engaging curricula with a strong emphasis on student wellbeing, progress, and personal development.

Schools benefit from excellent facilities, including modern classrooms, specialist subject areas, and a wide range of sports and creative resources. They promote core values such as respect, resilience, and responsibility, and are committed to developing confident, independent learners prepared for life beyond education.

Through Teaching Personnel, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of school settings, building your confidence and gaining valuable experience. This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced teachers seeking greater flexibility, or individuals considering a career in secondary education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
• Follow each school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
• Support student engagement and learning
• Provide feedback to school staff where required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
