Supply Teacher

  1. Teacher
  2. Essex
Date posted : 23/04/24
  1. Flexible Working
£120 - 140 per day

Job description

Got a passion for teaching but had enough of the workload?

Want to go back to the reason you became a teacher and focus on the teaching?

Looking for some flexibility rather than the commitment of term times?

We are looking for passionate teachers to join our team, providing outstanding teaching and learning for children in Essex when their class teacher is unavailable. Long gone are the days of supply teachers just ‘holding’ the class until the teacher is back. We are building a team of skilled professionals who still add value to every learning day.

That’s what we are looking for, but what is in it for you?

  • Being able to take on a role in a flexible timetable to suit you
  • Day to day, and short-term cover that may have the potential to lead on to a long term role if this is what you are looking for
  • Covering a range of Primary School classes
  • The opportunity to earn £600-£800 per week, paid weekly via PAYE
  • The ability to receive pension contributions whilst working supply
  • A dedicated consultant with previous teaching experience who will provide support every step of the way

The qualities that we are looking for include:

  • Someone with a passion for making a difference (Essential)
  • A teacher who is able to be flexible and adaptable (Essential)
  • Experience working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 (Desirable)
  • Drives and has access to a car or willing to use public transport (Essential)
  • At least 1 day per week available (Essential)
  • A full week of availability (Desirable)

Whether you are already experienced in teaching supply or this is a first, please apply and we will be in touch to go through the details.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
