Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit short term supply teachers for our partner secondary schools in Glossop and High Peak to support their staffing and timetabling. We work with both secondary schools in Glossop and four secondary schools in the High Peak so will have opportunities in a variety of school settings.
To be eligible for the role of a supply teacher you will need to have qualified teach status in the UK, suitable references and be eligible to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate. The role of a short term supply teacher is flexible dependant on your availability with a reduced workload as there are no planning and marking responsibilities involved. We will be able to provide teaching work in your subject specialism or across curricular if desired on a day to day basis or block placements up to 4 weeks.
Responsibilities would include following the absent teachers timetable for the day and delivering the set lessons ensuring students remain on task and complete the work via effect classroom management. You will need to have a flexible and adaptable personality to meet the demands of the position.
