Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors/Supply Teachers for secondary schools in the North Hampshire Area. The positions will commence as soon as possible and continue through the remainder of this academic year1.

Job Description

As a Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a productive and positive learning atmosphere within the schools. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students stay on task during the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Supervising and managing the classroom effectively, maintaining discipline and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Providing support to students across the age and attainment range, spanning both Key Stage 3 and 4.

For the PE background Cover Supervisor role, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering pre-prepared PE lessons and ensuring students stay on task during the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Supervising and managing the classroom effectively, maintaining discipline and ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Providing support to students across the age and attainment range, spanning both Key Stage 3 and 4.

Requirements

To be eligible for the position of Cover Supervisor/Supply Teacher, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be UK residents or have lived in the UK for at least 2 years as part of our vetting requirements.
  • A valid Safer in Education check will be required prior to starting the role.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with students and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
