Sport Teaching Assistant – Lancaster

Location: Lancaster
Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Role Type: Full-time (Long-term Contract)
Salary: Competitive Weekly Pay (via PAYE)

Teaching Personnel is working with secondary schools across Lancaster to find a dedicated Sport Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting students and promoting physical education. This long-term role offers a unique opportunity to engage with children in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis, utilising sports and exercise techniques to enhance their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist students during lessons, particularly focusing on disengaged or challenged individuals.
  • Sports Integration: Use sports techniques to promote learning and encourage physical activity.
  • Behaviour Management: Identify and observe positive behaviour methods for student development.
  • Emotional Support: Support students emotionally and socially, helping them build confidence and life skills.
  • Physical Exercise Promotion: Encourage students to participate in physical activities, fostering healthy habits.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS Check (Child Only) and registered with the Update Service (We will assist with this process)
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive, and forward-thinking personality
  • Strong passion for working with children, especially in a sports-focused environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
