Sport’s Mentor Needed – Tonypandy Area CF40 – Daily rate GBP61.20 – 75 – Start ASAP
Teaching Personnel are actively seeking a sports mentor to support a secondary school in the Tonypandy area. The school are looking for a sports mentor that can work full-time and start ASAP. You will receive a daily rate of GBP61.20 – 75 per day dependant on experience.
As a result of the UK lockdown period pupils are showing increasing needs for mentoring support during lessons. Our secondary school are currently seeking someone who can work with a year 8 pupil who is struggling to engage with his peers and get on with his work. This selected pupil has tendencies to isolate himself during the school day and not engage with his lessons or the class teachers.
Your role will consist of multiple elements of support during the school day, you will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with the selected pupil encouraging and supporting with the work set by the class teacher. In addition to that you will be expected to shadow the pupil during his time at school, with the goal of finding common ground using sports to bring him out of his shell.
Our school has multiple sports pitches, gyms and sports halls at your disposal to use to enhance your support given. As well as using sports to find common ground you will be expected to support with PE and sports lessons using alternative education to get the work set completed. The school are offering on site parking as well as a mentor to have during the placement within the school.

- Come from a sports, care or education background
- Can travel to the CF40 Area
- Confident with pressured situations
