Sports Coaches seeking TA work - Cambridge

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a school within the Central Cambridge area that are looking for applicants with the following attributes:

• Energetic and Physically fit
• Eager to support and aid children with SEN as well as SEMH
• Experience in a sporting background
• Mental & Physical Resilience

We are looking for individuals with a sports background who are looking to get into teaching assistant work. You will be required to work within school hours - 8:30-3:30, on either a full time or part time basis.

Some of your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:

• Working 1:1
• Intervention
• Support Teachers within the class
• Improving student well being, confidence and concentration.
• Challenging and motivating pupils, reinforcing self esteem.
• To be a role model to students and help inspire them to lead a healthy lifestyle.

The role itself is challenging in terms of the pupils that need support due to their tendency to display challenging behaviour, however the role is its own reward due to the high level of interaction and personal development of the pupils that successful applicants will get to become a part of. All training needed will be provided and the school has a very supportive network of high level teaching staff, health professions and other support assistants.
