A fantastic opportunity to gain secondary school experience of delivering sports sessions.

  • Full time Sports Coach post from September 2020 (potentially sooner)
  • Fixed term contract until the end of the academic year in the first instance
  • Introduction to a permanent role (permanent contract opportunity)
  • Earn up to GBP1400 per month, paid weekly in arrears (dependent on previous experience)
  • Modern secondary school in Oldham

This large secondary school is located in Oldham, a short drive from the town centre and close to many public transport links. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, this mixed comprehensive school was graded as ‘Outstanding’ with inspectors commenting on “the impact of teaching on pupils’ progress” and “the high standards of pupils’ behaviour”.

The successful candidate will assist the PE department in delivering specific sport lessons including both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum. There will also be opportunities to deliver extra-curricular sessions both during school time and after school. Experience of a range of different sports is highly desirable but not essential. Previous work in a secondary school is also not essential, as there will be many transferable skills from other roles and previous experiences.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
