Sports Coach

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a strong sporting background to join our team as a Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sports coach, PE graduate, or athlete looking to make a difference in an educational setting.
About the Role:
You will support pupils both in the classroom and through physical activities, helping to promote teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour. Working alongside teachers and pastoral staff, you’ll help pupils build confidence, stay focused, and achieve their personal best – in sport and in learning.
Key Responsibilities:

Support teaching and learning across a range of subjects, including PE.

Lead or assist with sports activities, breaktime/lunchtime clubs, and after-school sessions.

Act as a positive role model, promoting healthy lifestyles and active learning.

Work with individual pupils or small groups to support their educational and emotional development.

Assist with behaviour management, classroom organisation, and pupil engagement.
About You:
-
Background in sport (e.g. coaching, PE studies, competitive athletics, or personal training).

Experience working with children or young people.
- Experience with or confident to work with young people that have additional needs including challenging behaviour.

Confident, energetic, and approachable with excellent communication skills.
-
Able to motivate and inspire pupils, including those who may need additional support.

Flexible, proactive, and willing to be part of a team-focused environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
