Teaching Personnel are working with primary, secondary and SEN schools across Birmingham who are looking for sports coaches, teaching assistants and higher level teaching assistants who are available full time and long-term to work with students 1:1, in small groups or within the classroom. You must have an enhanced child DBS, or be willing to apply for one and at least 2 graded references from prior employment. Roles are starting ASAP and are likely to be for at least the remainder of this academic year. If you're the right person for the school and the school is the right place for you, there is a strong possibility of a permanent contract.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the class teacher with progress of students.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour of students.
  • Providing one-to-one support. 
  • Working with intervention groups to support learning.
  • Being intuitive to the needs of the children. 
  • Pro-active approach to support the children and staff in school.

Ideal candidate:

  • Previous teaching assistant experience or sports background.
  • Previous/current support workers, care workers, nursery assistants and people looking for a fresh new challenge/a passion to work in education.
  • Graduates - A Degree in Psychology, Sports Science/Coaching, Education Studies and more.
  • Strong character and good personality willing to go the extra mile to support the students in the best way possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
