Speech and Language Therapist - Hayes, Hillingdon

We are looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) to join a hardworking team of specialists in a special needs school in Hillingdon. We are looking for a therapist passionate about enabling access to the curriculum and whole school experience for children with special needs.

Based Hayes, Hillingdon the school provides care, social and educational support for primary aged children with complex learning, social and speech and language needs associated with autism. Acclaimed for their investment in staff, pupils and the community with satellite classes and workshops provided to support children with autism across the borough; this is a great opportunity for an ambitious therapist.

As a speech and language therapist you’ll be working 1:1 and in small groups with children with a diverse range of communication needs delivering, observing and assessing speech and language plans. Additionally you will work closely with parents, staff and senior leadership to make clinical decisions and form effective plans for pupils.    

What they are looking for?

  • Someone with an effective registration with the Health Professions Council and have a professional degree in speech and language therapy, speech science or speech and language pathology
  • Someone with a proactive, creative and highly motivated personality
  • Someone who is a team player to join our existing friendly team
  • Someone confident or  interested in supporting children with speech and developmental needs linked with autism spectrum condition  
  • Someone committed to full-time work with an interest in permanent positions within the school
  • Ability to travel to Hayes, Hillingdon daily and potentially local primary schools in the borough to share good practice
  • Someone with a updated Child DBS or able to apply in order to secure position
