Speech and Language Teaching Assistant – South Liverpool
Teaching Personnel is working with a partnership special school, to provide additional staffing to cover gaps in the timetable and to support the opening of a new, additional classroom. For this reason, Teaching Personnel is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with experience supporting speech, language and communication needs into a school within South Liverpool for January 2021.
The Job:
- To work within a primary aged class, within a special needs school, to support the development of young people with speech and language needs
- To support the class teacher and work alongside other staff members, to provide an inclusive and personalised curriculum
- Work with outside agencies such as therapists, to enhance communication skills
- Full time or part time availability will be considered; Monday to Friday, Term Time Only, 8:30 – 3:30 daily
The School:
- An inclusive special needs school in South Liverpool for 2-16 years old with a range of moderate and complex learning difficulties
- Committed to meeting the individual needs of all students on-roll
- Provide a holistic approach to education and ensuring the best outcomes for all learners
- Help pupils to become responsible citizens who can make a positive contribution to the community, once they transition to adulthood
