Specialist Teaching Assistant

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Do you enjoy working with children, but can't commit to a full school day's work?

Are you passionate about helping children and are experienced in 1:1 or teaching assistant work?

Are you confident in your Maths and English skills?

At Teaching Personnel we are often contacted to provide tuition and intervention work for students who are showing poor results at school or who are currently not attending mainstream school. Tuition work is usually contracted for 2 hours a day, 5 days per week and is based either at the clients home or in a local library in the community.

Some of the students you will be required to work with may be disengaged and unfocused, so it's necessary for you to provide a creative approach to their core subjects to help them learn.

If this type of role suits you and you think you could bring something positive to our clients, please apply with your CV and cover letter.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
