Job description

We are looking for a 1-1 Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible. The Role will be to work with Pupils from the ages of 4-11 who need support to maintain behaviour or access the curriculum due to an SEN diagnosis.

We need specialists to assist in getting children with high needs settled back into the classroom and get pupils back on track with their learning after the summer break, so those registering now will be first in line for further opportunities next academic year. You will work in Schools across Malton (and surrounding areas if you can travel) to enable different pupils to be managed in the classroom environment and provide the support they need to feel happy, secure and comfortable whilst pushing them to succeed and excel expectations. You will work with pupils who require additonal support, working with them to manage their behaviour as well as ensuring that they successfully achieve the desired outcomes of the day. The role will be varied; providing support on a 1:1 and small group basis; ensuring that all pupils are meeting curriculum standards.

The schools require staff who have previous experience of providing this support but often find that previous Nursery Nurses, those with Degrees in education Studies and Previous care assistants get on well in these roles. Give us a call to see if your experience would work.

Hours will be in line with School opening times (08:30-15:30) but days of work can be flexible, and occasionally just mornings or afternoons, but we will give you the opportunity to manage your own time around your own committments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
